The Semal tree or the silk cotton tree, is a large, quick-growing tree with a broad canopy. It’s full of spiky red flowers and when in full bloom during summer, it is a sight to behold. In addition to its ornamental value, the silk cotton tree is also prized for its medicinal properties.
