The Inspiring Social Activist Mamta Agarwal

Born and brought up in Kanpur, Mamta Agarwal (HNo. D-74) has been a topper throughout her academic career and also got a gold medal for topping a merit list of MA Psychology. Besides Academics Mamta also excelled in Dance and Instrumental music “Sitar” and won several prizes. During her University days, she was a part of the Debating team and was also adjudged as the best debater on several occasions.

Mamta Agarwal happily married to Engr. Pravin Kumar is a proud mother of highly skilled two daughters & a son and grandmother of 5 kids. She has dedicated her life to social service and has been involved with various social initiatives. She joined the erstwhile Lioness movement in the early 80’ and played a constructive role holding various important positions in the organisation.

Mamta was member of Advisory Boards of MTNL Western zone New Delhi, Bharti College, Janakpuri, President, Acharya Jugal Kishore Charitable Society (Regd). She is actively associated with various social activities as Patron of NGO Social Vision managing “Happy Home” for destitute ladies, Cloth Bank, Charity Mall etc. at Najafgarh and Patron of NGO Human Savior Foundation successfully running a School for underprivileged children in Gurgaon.

She shifted to Suncity in 2005 and has been a part of initiating the Cultural activities for women, festivities like Diwali & Janmashtami, Sai Bhajan Sandhya etc. She had a major role to play in the Waste Segregation efforts in Suncity as well as efforts towards teaching the underprivileged kids.

Most recently she was awarded the ‘Silver Wings Award 2023 ’ for serving underprivileged children by Senior World. It is residents like Mamta who inspire us to do more for the community and bigger causes like education.
