Samvada Editor’s Meet 2024
Sector 75 Noida

Samvada Editor’s Meet 2024

So, this year we witnessed a very warm meet up with our co editors at Samvad. Though I joined Samvad around 6 years ago, with the first edition coming up with sector 75 Noida, I was un- able to attend the Editors meet held 4 years ago. And then, due to Covid, it was stalled.

And this April, resident editors met for the first time, from all over various sectors of Noida, Gurgaon and Delhi.

Meeting the fellow resident editors  personally was an exhilarating experience. Listening to stories and experiences shared by many editors was quite enlightening. Knowing that a few people were doing so much for the society, some for environment, some on a mission against plastic use, some on planting more trees, there were many motivating stories. It was an overwhelming experience to be a part of such a community, where you are known for what you write about, what you actually care about. And to know that your writing make an impact on the society, is again such an upward feel. It was really nice to know that Charu, one of the editors, started writing books after picking up on her writing skills in Samvada. This way, Samvad is not only making a difference in our society, but also in each one of us, as a person. Dr. Meenu Walia, oncologist, who is a regular contributor to the magazine with her informative articles on health, was a guest speaker. Her experience was so heart touching. Madhu Mittal, doing her bit against single use plastic, also running a steel utensils bank for reusable utensils for anyone to use for their party needs, is a leader in her field. Another one shared how she was instrumental in helping someone come out of mental depression. Many such experiences were shared by people from South Delhi, Gurgaon.

I personally feel, such motivating meet-ups should be a regular feature from the magazine. We not only came to know who are we a part of, but also , what all people are doing apart from writing, and how their writing is helping people. I thank Veenod Aggarwal for putting all this up together in such a commendable manner. Many congratulations and my best wishes to the entire team.
