Radha Krishan Mandir –March Updates:

Mahashivratri Function: The biggest and the most famous function of Radha Krishan mandir is always Shivaratri which is celebrated for the whole day in a grand manner. The temple was beautifully decorated with lights and flowers all over the building and inside to welcome the devotees for the Shivratri from the early morning. The 3 longest serving pundits were dressed in the traditional dresses to start the puja from the morning hours. The sewadars and entire committee members were there throughout the day to ensure smooth running of all the religious activities. The parking attendants ensured that there is no traffic jams near the temple and all the residents can move freely. More than 1000 people visited the temple on Mahashivratri and took blessings of Lord Shiva with their families. All the visitors were given Prasad. DInesh Gupta, Joint secretary was there to guide the team and Panditji as per the tradition of the temple for more than 2 decades.

2) Holika Dahan: The festival of colour always starts with the auspicious puja on the Holi day in the evening. The Mandir authorities organized a huge holika dahan with wood collected in a big pileup. The function started on 24th March at 7 Pm with more than 200 people gathered to perform the Holi Puja together. The Holika dahan was performed with the chanting of aarties by the pundits who were enjoyed by all to get ready for the Dhulandi (playing holi with coolers) on the next day.

3) Morning and Evening Aarti is attended by large gathering at the Radhakrishan mandir which’s now centre of attraction with regular religious activities. The morning and evening Aarti (7-730 AM AND 7-730PM) is now attended by more than 50-60 people daily followed by Prasad for all.
