Challenges Faced by Silver City Families

Silver City in Sector-93 is a clean and green housing complex, and stands open on all the four sides which is its unique point. However in spite of all the positives it faces a pressing issue, which is the open drains just outside the boundary wall that pose a significant challenge to the community. These drains, left exposed, contribute to various problems that are affecting both the environment and the residents.

Open drains are a common sight around Silver City, and they have become a breeding ground for stagnant water, debris and sometimes even hazardous waste. This not only poses health risks but also contributes to the pollution of local water sources. Residents often find it difficult to navigate the sidewalks without the fear of accidentally stepping into one of these drains. The air-conditioners do not run for more than two years because of the toxic fumes the drains emit.

Adding to the community’s woes is the unfinished pavement tiling project, which was initiated to enhance the aesthetics and safety of pedestrian walkways. The incomplete nature of this project not only detracts from the overall appearance of the vicinity but also poses safety concerns for pedestrians. Cracks, uneven surfaces, and missing tiles create tripping hazards, especially during inclement weather.

Furthermore, the cycle stand that was made with much fanfare, around the corner, has become a symbol of inefficiency – a failed project of Noida Authority with funds wasted on it. Rather than serving its intended purpose of providing a facility for the cyclists, it has fallen victim to neglect. A garbage dealer has taken over the space, converting it into a dumping ground for waste. This not only defeats the purpose of the cycle stand but has also added to the overall unhygienic condition of the area.

The local authorities must address these issues promptly. Allocating resources to complete the pavement tiling project would not only enhance the city’s appearance but also prioritize the safety of its residents. Additionally, addressing the open drains is crucial for the well-being of the community, mitigating health risks and preventing environmental degradation.

It is essential for the Noida administration to enforce regulations around the cycle stand, ensuring that designated spaces for community use are not overtaken by unauthorized individuals. This would contribute to a cleaner and more organized city environment.

In conclusion, Silver City is grappling with the challenges posed by open drains, an unfinished pavement project, and a neglected cycle stand. Swift and decisive action from the local authorities is imperative to address these issues, fostering a safer, cleaner and more aesthetically pleasing environment for the residents.
