The annual show was held on 2nd and 3rd March 2024 at its regular venue – the Gulmohar Park Club grounds. This year too Unit 7B members which consists primarily of residents from Gk2 proved that they are blessed with green thumbs. Participation from the colony was high as well as the unstoppable winning streak. For some, winning has become a regular feature. Some were first-time participants and winners too – getting inspired from others as also motivating others.
The winners in the Garden category – Kusum Gupta and Urmila Yadav (a familiar name and face for all colony residents)
The terrace garden category saw many winners too, which goes on to prove that greening of urban terraces is fast becoming popular transforming barren terrace spaces into greener ones. The winners include – Sucheta Nakul, Kalpana Purdhani, Poonam Malhotra, and Jogi Mehta. They have tirelessly worked to convert their homes into small oasis amongst the brick-and-mortar concrete jungle that our colonies are fast becoming.
Not the ones to be left behind despite the small space available in the form of balconies – we have our home baker – Swati Gupta Jain and Poonam Malhotra – who are growing almost everything in their balconies.
All the winners deserve a huge round of applause for their hard work.
