It’s beyond comprehension why people want to destroy plants and generally cause destruction in Silver Oaks green belt. We bought plants to cover the gaps in the hedges planted on either side of the path in the green belt. The malis worked hard to plant them and watered them diligently. Some were stolen after 2 days. Then the next day the malis caught some people stealing more plants.
In the monsoon season we got 60 plants from the MCG. They were planted and staked. While most people admired their beauty and waited for them to flower, some miscreants broke 10 to 12 plants in half, leaving the broken bits lying on the ground. Some were uprooted and thrown around. What they gained by this is hard to tell. The loss is of course of the general public.
