Celebrating our 78th Independence Day is a poignant reminder of how far we’ve come and how much further we need to go in achieving true independence. While we honor the progress made, we also reflect on the areas where our actions, motives, and thoughts still require liberation.
On this special day, 15 August, we adorn ourselves in traditional attire, embraced the tricolor with pride, and remember the sacrifices made by countless men and women whose blood and sweat nurtured our freedom. Due to their courage and dedication, we can stand tall today with pride for our nation.
RWA Sector-92 continued with its tradition of enthusiastic celebration. A week before the Independence Day, a painting competition for children of all ages was held, and the creativity of young artists was recognized with medals, certificates, and chocolates for their efforts. Their artwork was a testament to their passion and imagination.
The day featured performances by children and teenagers, with many dressed in patriotic attire, including a special tribute to Jhansi ki Rani. The event was a joy for parents and grandparents who cheered on their young stars.
Dr Muktesh Cander IPS (Retd.), President of RWA Sector 92, hoisted the tricolor at the community center, where the festive atmosphere was enhanced by patriotic decorations and a delightful menu of pakoras, dhoklas, jalebi, and poha.
This celebration was a reminder of our journey toward true independence and a tribute to the spirit of freedom that continues to inspire us.
