Consequent to heavy rains on June 28, Hansraj Gupta Marg, in front of B Block from the red light crossing to petrol pump, was flooded with water making movement of traffic difficult. The rainwater went into basements and ground floors of few houses damaging the furniture, carpets, wooden flooring and properties. The damage happened because of clogging of drainage system on the main road which leads to flow of water into houses. On the request of Bimal Kapoor, president, B Block RWA, to Shikha Rai, municipal councilor, jetting machines with labour were sent to clean the drains. With a lot of effort silt was removed. Kapoor also requested Saurabh Bhardwaj, MLA and Minister, Delhi Govt. to visit the site and help. Bhardwaj visited the site with his team and provided super suction machines to clean the drainage system. With the collective efforts of the president, RWA, councilor and MLA, the necessary action has been taken to ensure that the accumulation and seepage of water does not happen in future. Thanks to the team work.
