Samvada (May) reported huge flames of fire on 20 April in the green garbage of the Meghdutam Park. There was another fire within a month, on 26 May, on the same spot. Around 5 am, as early morning walkers present there said, when they entered the park there was no fire; half an hour later they saw huge flames leaping from mounds of garbage. Smoke filled the air and kept on rising high even after when the fire brigade doused the fire.
