Unit 39 released its first Newsletter online on 2nd of July. The Newsletter is the first of its kind in the history of AIKGA. It was applauded for its presentation and editorial among the members and the Executive Committee.
The monthly meeting of Unit 39 was held on 21st July at Chinmay Mission Hall, Nirvana Country Sector 50, Gurgaon. The topic of the month was ‘Sowing of seeds and permaculture practices’. A talk was presented by Bindi Joshi who is an expert in Permaculture and organic farming. Members made notes and interacted with the speaker. Hot tea and biscuits were provided to members. An announcement about joining AGT (Advanced Garden Training) course, commencing from 31st July to 5th August was made. One needs to do the Basic Gardening course to qualify for this one.
Unit 42 had its first meeting at Roliee Anshuman’s Centre for English Excellence in Sector 27 on 28th July. The venue was well decorated and the session started with the lighting of a lamp by the chief guest Neera Bhargava. Mrs. Bhargava shared her journey which started with Sarla Bhargava ji who happen to be Neera ji’s aunt. A brief introduction about AIGKA was provided by the Convenor Anita Wagh, Sujata Jain Co Convenor spoke about Soil, it’s understanding and propagation. Treasurer Reena Gupta presented the Vote of thanks. Special invitees and members were presented with plants as gifts. Hot tea, samosa and sweets were distributed among all members.
