Beautiful Homes of Windsor

A home is inherently a reflection of the people who reside in it; an expression of their lives, experiences, beliefs, and creative sensibilities all rolled into a concrete form.

As the lift stops at Dhriti and Ambarish’s floor at Windsor Court, one turns to see a navy-blue main door, and in that moment, you realize what lies on the other side is in all probability going to be anything but the usual. As soon as the blue door opens, you know you were right.

A home built with love and loads of research, it is a wonderful blend of aesthetics and pragmatism. Maximizing the natural light makes each room feel breezy and open. A neutral palette of green tones is the common theme which binds the entire look together; emphatic elements weaved in with calculated effortlessness.

The kitchen is large and practically designed, representing Dhriti’s passion for cooking and her love for sharing that passion with her friends and family. A huge, customized wallpaper of nature in its myriad of hues adorns the dining room wall and is the perfect background for clicking pictures. On the other side is an eclectic collection of paintings on display; some gifted by friends; some bought during travels and some sourced from local markets. The bedrooms are once again planned keeping in mind the needs of each family member and each design element is well thought out and intentional.

I am not too sure if the pictures I share do justice to the warmth one feels when you spend time at Dhriti and Ambarish’s, but they do capture the essence of their beautiful home.

This is the first article I am writing for the ‘Beautiful Homes of Windsor’ series and I am sure just like me all of you would be looking forward to discovering more about your neighbours and friends through their homes. After all, home is where the heart is.
