The Annual Day & Spring Festival –The Magic Of Spring

PanchShila Montessori School celebrated its 50th Annual Day on Saturday, 4th March 2023. The students of the school in the age group of 2yrs -3.5yrs presented a Musical Play ‘The Magic of Spring’. The Musical was conceptualized and scripted by the Principal Ms. Sujata Sundaresan and choreographed by Ms. Kavita. The story was about a Bear who was curled up in his cave and suddenly woke up from his winter sleep and experienced a gentle spring breeze. He sniffed and snorted his nose and said, ‘spring is in the air’. The Butterfly, Rabbits and the Lady Bug wake up from the winter slumber to enjoy the beauty of spring. The children enacted the characters of the bear, butterfly, flower, fish and rabbits. The lively music, colourful costumes, the stage decoration turned the school into a flower garden and a visual treat for everyone who witnessed the event.

Ms. Vineeta Sachdeva, Headmistress, G D Goenka Public School, New Delhi was the Chief Guest for the occasion. The Managing Committee members of the PanchShila Society also graced the occasion. The event was enjoyed by a gathering of about 100 people including parents, grandparents and guests.

The school also organized a ‘Spring Fest’ for everyone to celebrate the spring season. The Game Zone, Bouncy, Bowling Alley and Tattoo Corner were a huge hit with children of all ages. Both adults &children enjoyed working on the Potter’s wheel. The carnival included many stalls set up by different entrepreneurs like The Little Feet Co dealing in DIY kits & Activity kits for children, PLaybox, a company that designs toys for children to develop their imagination, The Little boo company dealing in puzzles and Montessori Aids for children. Other stall included kids Accessories and stationary by Rise and Shine Kids, Organic Shastra and Vishwadeep Trust made people aware of the healthy choices one can make by using organic food.

The Scholastic Books Exhibition displayed many interesting books for children. Windows – The art and craft had a stall, creating beautiful decorated glass bottles.

Everybody enjoyed the delicious food at The Panchshila Club Food Stall. The live music by Errol Gonsalves added the zing to the carnival.
