March heralded the arrival of spring and, with that, the most joyfully celebrated festival of Holi. The festival of colours, joy, happiness, and cordiality was celebrated with full gusto by the ATS family of children, youngsters and not so young alike.
Youngistaan ADDA members, as always the front runners, participated in this community festivity in large numbers to encourage bonhomie and togetherness. The festivity was put in motion by the Jairaths (11114) hosting a pre – Holi dinner on Monday, 6 March so well curated by our Bhatura Queen, Renu Jairath aptly complemented by her better half Rajesh – the ever-enthusiastic golfer.
The guests were in for a gastronomical extravaganza of mouth-watering and crispy snacks of Renu’s Kitchen fame followed by a sumptuous dinner spread. Rightly guessed, there was literally a stampede at the bar counter.
The Tambola ‘with a difference’ and the games were a spontaneous hit which were organised by Colonel Girish Mediratta (7231).
The icing on the festivity was the post – Holi lunch hosted by Alka Gupta (12241). The authentic Delhi – 6 chaat prepared at Gupta Chaat Bhandaar was an instant hit. The guests were welcomed with the traditional Chandan Tikka by Alka followed by a welcome drink of “Chhachh Pakori”.
Holi cannot be complete without cocktails, vodkas, and beers.
दारू शारू के बिना तो होली पार्टी अधूरी है।
हंसी मजाक के बिना होली बड़ी फीकी है।
