2024 was a momentous year for all the members of Youngistaan, having lots of fun, keeping reasonably good health and a great bonhomie. On New Year’s eve, it was time to recommit to the motto of the group, ‘Live life King Size’.
12 and a half couples, decided to shake our legs and have a toast to welcome the New Year, in a great style.
Prabha and Surinder Gulati (7262) were gracious enough to host the party of the year on the last day of 2024, ushering into the New Year 2025. On behalf of the entire group, I thank them for this warm gesture.
May God bless them with all the enthusiasm and energy to continue the trend in the coming years too.
A special thanks to Coln. Girish K Mediratta and Kusum Mediratta (7231) for their initiative of chalking out the whole programme with minutest details and the theme including the dress code (Black and Gold).
A few words do not do justice to their enthusiasm specially since Girish was still recovering from the week-old knee surgery.
After all, a फ़ौजी remains a फ़ौजी all his life, turning adversities to opportunities with his grit and fervour.
The party was a mixture of potluck and some outsourcing. The ladies brought some amazing dishes for all the youngistaanis to enjoy the ‘gastronomical feast’ of the year. With tasty snacks, dinner, drinks, non-stop dance and engaging games, five hours just passed without a dull moment.
It was time to celebrate the birthdays of Kapoor Saheb and Chug Saheb, too, on consecutive days, i.e., 31.12.24 and 01.01.25 respectively.
Thank you all the young at heart guys and gals. Stay Blessed.
