It was a proud moment for every member of YOUNGISTAAN ADDA when Dr Nagendra P Singh (ex AOH resident), a well-known management professor, versatile trainer of repute in
behavioural science and entrepreneurship, launched his recent creation of Hindi poetry book ‘Chaltee Kaa Naam Railgadee’ (‘चलती का नाम रेलगाड़ी’) at Youngistaan Adda.
Dr. Singh’s third poetry book displays a unique blend of spiritual and humorous insights of life journey.
The book was launched together with AOA President Alok Sahdev (5161) and BB Gupta (9252), a founder member of Adda. Dr. Singh credited his journey of writing poetry to the Adda with his following recitation.
क्या गुणगान करूं अड्डे का, जिसने जीवन दान दिया,
वरना टूट गए होते हम, संजीवनी का काम किया।
रोज नई कविता लेकर, अड्डे में हम आते थे,
मित्रों के नजरों में हम, अश्रु कवि कहलाते थे।
जब मैं देर से आता अड्डा, लोग बड़े गुर्राते थे,
लेकिन चाय हमें भी देते, सोच के हम मुस्काते थे।
रंगमंच और कविता द्वारा, यौवन फिर एक बार खिला,
अड्डे के हर मित्रा जनों से, जी भर मुझको स्नेह मिला।
Prof. Nagendra is a prolific author of more than 25 books to his credit. He is currently connected with top institutions (like IIIMA, MDI, XLRI, Aidmat etc) and many governmental academic bodies too. He has converted his recent passion into poetry as creative writing and theatre etc in addition to his social entrepreneurship as his professional engagement over the years.
