Youngistaan ADDA Rocks

बसंत का मौसम, बागों में रंगीन बहार।
फाल्गुन का महीना, होली का त्योहार।
ऐसा समा बने, साल में सिर्फ एक बार।
फ़िज़ा दिलकश, मिले यार का प्यार।

With love in the air, Youngistaan ADDA had a busy February calendar.

Musical Picnic on 4 February It was organised as a yearly ritual at Alok Sahdev’s (5161) brother’s farmhouse with all the music enthusiasts in attendance. An enjoyable afternoon with scintillating music and sumptuous lunch on a cool bright sunny day.

Valentine’s Day on 14 February Few members, young at heart and romantic, with their heartthrobs, had a ball at BR Sharma’s den (11091). All the couples enjoyed Drink, Dance, and Dinner. Lively games suited for the occasion were organised by our Fauji Casanova, Girish (7231).

Visit to the Red Fort on 25 February 24 Youngistaan Adda members visited the Red Fort to watch the Sound and Light Show. Previously known as Son et Lumiere, the Show has been renamed & relaunched as ‘Jai Hind’. It was inaugurated by our Home Minister in the new format on 10 January.

We commuted on a 25-seater Tempo Traveller and watched the English version, at 8:30 PM. The one-hour Show is very well designed, curated and performed. It’s screened in three parts, spread over Naubat Khana, Diwan-e-Aam and Diwan-e-Khas (where you’ll be seated for 40 minutes).

I highly recommend the Show as a must watch, for one and all. Watch the Hindi version in the voice of the legendry Amitabh Bachchan.

The outing was followed by a sumptuous dinner at the Pindi Restaurant at Pandara Road. We, the young at heart, returned to AOH past midnight, fully contented!
