Youngistaan Adda is known for having fun in the condominium and in & around NOIDA. Be it stag or couple parties, we are always looking for an occasion, or just create one, to enjoy!
For a more solid bonding among members and families, it was decided to go on an excursion. Col. Girish K Mediratta (7231) curated a trip to Lansdowne, a quiet hill station and home to the famous Garhwal Rifles Regimental Centre.
Seven dashing couples – with males in their early/ late twenties and their better halves in late teens/ early twenties – their mental age, sharp & mischievous (of course, along with a rich experience of about 50years up their sleeves) decided to take the plunge.
The group left on Sunday, 24 November for a 2N/ 3D trip in their favourite transport, Tempo Traveller. The visit to the Garhwali mess, museum, war memorial and the parade grounds was the highlight of the trip.
It was an experience having lunch with Agniveer Jawans in their Dining Hall. Coln. Mediratta had a heartfelt interaction with them. Other members too engaged with them for an understanding of their role, perspective and contributions to the Armed Forces.
The group enjoyed tourist attractions like St. Marys Church, Tip-N- Top viewpoint, Bhulla Tal (lake) etc. Afternoon boating in the lake was fun indeed. More than the destination, the to & from journey, adda meetings at morning teatime, and the gup-shup sessions in the evening with raising of toast were the high points.
Even the vehicle tyre burst, on the way back, will always be remembered alongside the Total Dhamaal! More to follow for sure…
