“Born in a joint family of 10 bhukkad people I have seen production of food in mass quantity i.e. factory production while being the best quality food in all of Gurgaon (school tiffin thieves approved!) “ says Avnee Bajaj (Amaltas Drive, DLF-4).
“I started out by baking quick and easy cakes during the lockdown because mom was sick of us coming to her with a hungry stomach every hour. My first bake, a classic yellow cake with chocolate frosting was hogged upon by my family. Just the fact that they ate it with such passion made me fall prey to an obsession with baking.” Thus began the journey of 13-year old Avnee Bajaj into the world of baking.
This obsession was supported by my entire family who relished every bake I tried. It went on to become a weekly ritual in our family. We call it Le Gou^ter pronounced as le goo-tey which is a French weekend tea-time ritual comprising of savories and sweets like quiche, cakes, croissant and cookies. Le Gou^ter is an occasion to converse and have a fun time with family and friends.
Since then from classic chocolate cakes to le exotic macarons, I honed my skills. Soon my family and friends started to place orders for my creations. By every Wednesday I share my upcoming Sunday’s offering through whatsapp and my instagram page (Instagram.com/sweettoothfactory2020).
