Young Ladies of Vasant Vihar are doing excellent social work especially for the senior residents of Vasant Vihar.
Every Year they invite Senior Citizens of Vasant Vihar over 65 for Breakfast. This year the Breakfast invitation was on Sat 23 Dec, 9.30 am to 12 noon at Aravalli Culture Center, Kalyan Kendra, Paschimi Marg.
It was a South Indian spread: Idli, Dosa, Uttpam, Medu Vada, Kesar Halva and filter coffee/tea. The program was well attended and there were a few super citizens above 90 years.
The young hosts were very hospitable and personally made sure that each and every guest was looked after personally. All of them got a small Christmas cake as a gift.
Boeheim prevailed among all present and everybody said that it was a very well organised breakfast morning. The spirit behind the program was commendable.
Some residents shared the following messages on the whatsapp group:
“A huge thanks once again for the fantastic work done by all the young ladies in putting together the breakfast yesterday for the seniors. Turned out to be great food and a wonderful morning”. “Young ladies of Vasant Vihar many thanks for your breakfast invitation to us seniors. I was looking forward to attending but for some unavoidable reasons could not. My apologies, I believe, as expected it was just yummy, mouth-watering and good fun, something that we oldies miss. My LOSS but many thanks.” -Tej Kohli
“Thank you, all the young ladies of VV, what a lively breakfast you hosted. Very thoughtful and gracious of you. I’m sure everyone enjoyed it as much as I did, even though I had to leave early. Thanks again”.
