International Yoga Day was celebrated by RWCS at Gangotri Hall on June 5, 2023. This was done in association with the Rajasthan Kalyan Parishad and the Bharat Vikas Parishad. Some 100+ residents, senior citizens, women, and children participated enthusiastically. Anuradha Vyas led the 40-minute yoga protocol and was assisted by young teenager Madhavi Krishna. The programme began early at 7 a.m., and all participants were given T-shirts. Senior members of RWCS were seen actively participating in the function. The highlight was Shanknaad (the blowing of a conch) for over one minute by a member, which was widely appreciated. Anyone who has ever attempted to blow a shankh knows that it is not easy and that one needs strong lungs to do so. This was followed by the distribution of a banana, a packet of diet namkeen, and coconut water as part of the yogic breakfast.
