Yoga is an ancient physical, mental and spiritual practice that originated in India. The International Day of Yoga has been celebrated across the world annually on June 21 as initiated by our Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
This yoga day Vipin Yadav in association with a real estate firm organized a yoga event in the community centre at 6: 15 AM. A beautiful stage was set up with mics and speakers, and everything else was well organised.
Even though it was drizzling in the morning and a lot of people still turned up. Every resident participant was given a Yellow coloured printed t-shirt and everyone as a whole looked beautiful and united in the front lawns of the K Block community centre.
The event started with a bhajan sung by Veenu Kalra and the team. After this, as it was raining, seniors used the hall for Yoga, and kids and youngsters were happy in the park. The one-hour session was conducted by a highly trained yoga teacher Pallavi with a group of students assisting her.
After the yoga session was over, healthy refreshments were given to all participants. Towards the end, residents also sang desh bhakti songs. All in all, it was a fun-filled event, all DLF Phase 2 residents came together and rejoiced their “bachpan” being in the rain, singing songs, and enjoying each other’s company.
