Ram Vihar had a magnificent Musical Nite on Saturday, 23 Dec 2023. We have lot of budding artists amongst us right from kids, teenagers, adults and moms who are home makers and professionals. The mothers proved that they can follow their dreams at any age and at the same time balance home and work. We had some participants who had not been on stage at all. We encouraged and motivated them, as there can be no other better place than Ram Vihar where they can showcase their talent.
In spite of the biting cold, the participants had been practicing outdoors in the same lawn which was the venue for the programme. Of course ‘Shamyana’ was put up, which was enclosed from top and all sides. The artists showed lot of josh and interest in the programme. PPT presentation, DJ, stereo phonic sound, Graphics and LED screen enhanced the effect.
The complete show was for 1 ½ hours. The highlights of the show were songs, dances – (solo, duo, group and fusion), Casio and guitar playing and the awaited ramp walk.
There were 23 performances and 30 artists. The evening began by a welcome dance ‘Su- Swagatam which was beautifully performed by a pretty, timid and shy girl Sunita. There was a power packed performance by a group of small children who danced on a medley of song, choreographed by Monika Singh (C- 710). She herself is a state level dancer and had danced very gracefully on the song ‘Tal Se Taal Mila’, Another group of girls gave a scintillating dance performance on the song ‘Mai Ur Chala’ choreographed by Neha Singh (E-006). Aditi Dhiman, her son Dhairya and her sister Anubha (E – 119) danced on various numbers and got thunderous applause. Twin sisters Aria and Ira (C- 002) danced very gracefully on songs like ‘ Dora, Kisna And Barso Re’. Their performances along with their mother Amrita and sister Mansa were a treat to the eyes. Kaavya Kumar (B- 507) gave an electrifying solo dance and a group performance with Aria and Ira on ‘Bumro’. Shweta with her daughter Mehal, Sonali with her daughter Kaashvi, Amrita with her daughter Mansa and Sarabjeet with her daughter Surbi were the rocking stars of the evening. They presented fusion dance and along with other artists did the ‘Cat Walk’.
Saisha (B-424) melodiously sang the song ‘Panchi Banu, Udti Phiru’. Inaara (A-702) played the Casio and got a thunderous applause on the song ‘Carol Of The Bells’. Rishi Jain (F- 722) was a rock star and a true copy of King Khan on the song Lutt Putt Gaya.
Col Avinash and Mrs Rita Varma (C-001) were instrumental in putting up the show. Shweta Sabharwal (G-228) was the coordinator and Moksh Dhand (D-616) with Mehal Sabharwal (G-228) were the masters of the ceremony. Each participant was given a gift as an incentive as a mark of appreciation.
There were food stalls with piping hot coffee. Everybody barged to these stalls once the show was over. The young music lovers stayed back to dance on the DJ peppy numbers. They were in no hurry to leave and danced away to glory till finally the curtains fell down.
To make this an enjoyable and memorable evening the residents of Ram Vihar put up this spectacular show. It was a super duper show. All were aghast to see what talent Ram Vihar residents have. It is a small Society but there is no limit to the multitalented and skillful artists who reside amongst us. Video recording of the complete show was done and uploaded on U Tube. This was shared in the RV WhatsApp group and all residents enjoyed watching again and again the recorded show.
