In this modern-day world, the pace of life is growing faster; we are losing touch with our true inner peace and power, which, over time, leads to various physical and mental diseases. See-ing this scenario, the UN General Assembly passed a resolution formally declaring 21 December as World Meditation Day.
Brahma Kumaris, an international spiritual organisation celebrated World Meditation Day in Lotus Boulevard. The program started with a divine song performance by sister Sonia, a regular Raj Yoga practitioner at the Meditation Centre in Tower 17, which is functioning since 2016.
BK Ruchi, a senior Raj Yoga practitioner, talked about the significance of Raj Yoga meditation and all participated in a practical meditation session.
Raj Yoga meditation teaches us to control our mind and to respond to situations rather than to react. We begin to live in harmony and change our lives in a positive way. It is a form of meditation that is accessible to people of all ages and backgrounds and can be practised anywhere, anytime.
A few Raj Yoga meditation practitioners shared their life transforming experiences, how the daily practice of meditation enriched their lives at the mental, physical and emotional levels.
The event was also graced by senior members of AOA, Ms. Gita Nath and Mr. Dharamveer Yadav. Many others also enthusiastically participated.
