Seeing the huge hype surrounding the Cricket World Cup and the popular demand by the residents of RP2, the RWA planned the screening of the finals. The setup was done at the Kota Ground with seating arrangements. Right from the first ball of the match, residents started gathering at the venue. Each ball, each shot, and each wicket were followed by shouts of happiness or moans, depending on whether India was batting or bowling.
Snacks and tea were arranged during the entire match, and people remained glued to their seats following every single run or wicket. Many of the cricket fans stayed on till each ball was bowled because they believed in the popular saying, “In cricket, it’s not over until it’s all over.”
Although largely everyone was disappointed about losing the final match, this year everyone has appreciated the efforts of the Indian team. Kudos to the players and their team spirit for playing well and fairly.
