It was on cyber safety for elderly residents, held at the club house, Silver City. The event was conducted in collaboration with an NGO and aimed to equip senior citizens with essential knowledge and tools to navigate the digital world safely.

The two-hour session focused on critical topics, including safe browsing practices, data privacy and protection, and methods to prevent online scams. Dr. Prashant Chauhan, General Secretary of the AOA, emphasized the importance of such initiatives in today’s technology-driven world, especially for senior citizens who are increasingly engaging with digital platforms. He highlighted that the training provided practical solutions and awareness to ensure online safety, helping participants protect themselves and their families from cyber threats.

Attendees showed keen interest in understanding the nuances of cybersecurity and actively engaged with the trainers, asking questions and sharing their experiences. Nirupama Choudhary, one of the participants, expressed her appreciation for the effort, stating that the session was incredibly helpful in highlighting various aspects of cyber safety. Another participant, Mukesh Verma, praised the initiative and suggested that such workshops should be conducted regularly to keep the residents updated and aware of evolving online threats.

The event was well-supported by the AOA members, including Prabhat Rastogi, Amit Agarwal and AOA President, Jaideep Gupta, who all contributed to the successful organization of the workshop. Dr. Chauhan also shared that the association is committed to the well-being of its senior residents and plans to conduct more programs focused on their mental health, physical wellness, and access to government schemes like the Ayushman Bharat Health Card.

The cyber safety workshop was a resounding success, marking a significant step towards empowering elderly citizens to embrace the digital age with confidence and security.
