A Letter dated 16 June was released by Sector-50 RWA which listed, with details, the development work done for the welfare of Sector-50 in the year 2021–23. The work done is listed in 37 points and the work in the pipeline is given in 10 points. Residents are happy to receive the overall report of the 2 years, in details. Talking to them we assessed – Is this the ‘Impact of Samvada’?
The Samvada edition of June 23 carried the coverage of the Swachchta Abhiyan, focusing on the actual reality in Sector-50. We highlighted certain action required and suggested measures to be taken by RWA to make the sector a better place.
The affect of the article published in Samvada has awakened RWA to a certain extent that they mentioned few of the tasks in their so-called Sector-50 achievements. We feel satisfied and have some solace to have stirred the RWA. The list is long covering 4 pages; but whatever mentioned in the achievements of developmental/welfare work may not be attributed solely to the RWA but also to the Noida Authority and other stakeholders.
Still a lot of work is required to be done even in respect of the list of 50. Mere starting a work does not qualify as done or completed unless done fully, with the desired result.
The development work done in the 2 years as mentioned are – Installation of BMP plant; been able to keep Gate no. 14 closed in spite of efforts by the non-members and residents of F-block, Sector-50; repair of the drain flowing behind C-block; new sewage line from Neo hospital to D-block; coming up of Cub 50; remodeling of the footpath and work of centre verge from Central market till Kothari school (fqacing Sector-41); widening of drains, making culvert and interlocking tiles on roadsides; fencing wall and wire fencing bordering D-block; getting the vacant plot and roadsides cleaned thrice a year; covering the drain with SFRC cover from B-258 to B-278; laying of interlocking tiles from A-56/1–A-56/2 till Gate no. 10…. Many further points repeat the tiling, repair of wall and drains, renovation of the gates and the guard rooms. Construction of Public toilet near Central Park, fountains and gazebo in E-block Park, shifting of vendors, road resurfacing, LED lights, etc… each work is mentioned. Also, the coming up of dog shelter.
In the ‘To Do’ list, plans are for getting electricity cables changed, membership of Club 50, fountain and high mast lights in the parks, and other repair and renovation work are detailed.
