Women’s day celebration is an important event of the Gulmohar Club’s yearly schedule. The preparations for the same were well underway before the D-day Morning of 9th March 2025
A mini Mela was organised by the women of the colony on the women’s Day to celebrate entrepreneurship and put on display their talent and goods. Stalls ranged from raisen art, tarot, holistic healing, western wear fashion labels, sarees, beautifully crafted silver and gold jewellery to bed sheets, furnishings and homemade goodies. Also on offer were free yoga and health consultation sessions by a well established yoga coach.
The front lawn of the club was beautifully decorated with neat stalls and tables put up by the women inviting a good number of foot falls and brisk business as well. It was a thrilling experience
Evening of 9th March 2025
Ladies were invited to dress up in the attire of India. This was not just about dressing up but also about the region chosen and the way women dress up here.
The regions represented were Punjab, Haryana Uttar Pradesh and cosmopolitan. The description of the represented state included the highlights of its culture and customs.
The ladies did justice to the chosen region and were resplendent in their regional costumes. All in all it was a day that celebrated women and their achievements through and through.
