A wonderful programme was organised on Saturday, 9 March in the back lawns behind T18. The cultural committee members Fatima Khanam, Reena Chibber, Roopa Sharma ji, Khusboo and the AOA Vice-President Seema Narang organised the programme with various backdrops and selfie points.
Women residents from different fields were felicitated for their achievements. Kudos to Ranjana Neb, Shweta Kanojiya, Fatima Khanam, Kanchan Singh, Sarita, Dr. Kanchan Bharadwaj, Poonam Jain, Nidhi Bawa, Priti Dhillon, Nidhi Arora, Shivani Sharma, Jayshri Singh, Dr. Sushma Kasbekar, Mehak Sharma, & Nirupama Pant who were commended on this occasion.
The felicitation was done by ADCP Preeti Yadav ji and Farida Khan ji (Vice-President, Bar Council Association Uttarakhand, 24 years of practice in High Court Uttarakhand).
A fashion show was organised. Participants showcased their dance talent too depicting different states like Bhagalpur from Bihar, Lucknow gharana, Haryana kudi, Bengali Bala, Goa tourist etc. They were given prizes based on their depiction like Miss Personality, Talent Queen, Best Makeup & Best Costume.
Two winners were also chosen – Archana (first) and Priti Singh (second).
Two beautiful group dances were presented. The first was a classical dance by Ranjana Neb/ Vaishnavi group depicting Naari as Durga/ Shakti (Ai Giri Nandini). The other was by the Fatima Khanam group with the theme being Women Empowerment/ Gulabi gang famed theme.
The programme ended amidst laughter doses by Roopa Ji and team.
