Amrapali Eden park cultural committee led by Kusum Khandelwal (A-1804, A-403) organised Women’s Day celebration on 09 March. Members of the cultural committee and Eden Park AOA maintenance staff helped in decorating the park area, and making sitting and games arrangements. Raina Agarwal (A-1002), who is an artist and an art teacher (drawing /painting) brought 2 paintings made by her in the event area. This became a hotspot for beautiful clicks later.
The event began at 4:30 pm with the introduction of the newly elected AOA members, members of the cultural committee and the event outline by Mrs Khandelwal. Suhasini (A-1004) spoke very well on ‘Why we celebrate Women’s Day’. Preeti (B-903), Pragya (D-1302) and Ruchi (A-204) engaged the audience in very innovative games namely ‘Make new friends’ and ‘Luck of Colors’. It was followed by the musical chair round. The winners of each game were given gifts.
A beautiful cake was prepared by our society’s very own chef and baker, Reema Kapoor (D-1903). The event concluded with cake cutting, Vote of Thanks and light refreshments. It was a fun-filled Saturday event with beautiful women in numerous shades of Pink and Purple. Special thanks to Mrs Khandelwal and Preeti Agarwal for ensuring smooth execution of the event. Eden Park cultural committee is planning to organize various events throughout the year to engage different target audiences.
In another event to commemorate Women’s Day, Raina Agarwal (A1002) distributed fruits to house helps and staff of the society, on 08 March. A brilliant novel initiative, ‘Kudos’ to Raina for her kind heart and caring spirit!
But not everything is so sweet! It’s expensive and almost impossible unless planned from the beginning for residential apartments. But it’s extremely beneficial in a lone house or bungalow with some land.
True it’s expensive to set up, but almost free energy and no carbon emission.
