Wisterian Ladies Club (WLC) has been conducting events every month for its members, to bring them on a common platform for quality leisure time with recreational values. WLC celebrated WLC Sports Day at PW on 22 December 2022, where all the ladies got an opportunity to relive their childhood days of playing various exciting games and exhibiting their physical swiftness & mental alertness.
This Sports Day of 2022 assumes greater significance as it was held after a gap of 2 years due to Corona restrictions.Sport teaches us character. It teaches us to play by rules. It teaches us to understand the meaning of team. It teaches us about life.
Inspired by the above sayings, various games like Ball Throw, Knee Race, Cardboard Race & Music Race were held, wherein WLC ladies participated with lot of enthusiasm and excitement. All the members thoroughly enjoyed playing all the games. This event helped the ladies ignite the values of sports(wo)man spirit and team spirit among themselves.
This year’s sports events were organised & conducted by Volunteers of WLC namely Soni Gupta, Vineeta, Jyoti Gupta, Shachi, Parul & Ritu. Following were the Prize Winners of various games held:
Ball Throw:1st:- Priyanka,2nd:- Dimple, 3rd:- Urvashi. Knee Race:1st:- Anshu,2nd:- Anubha,3rd:- Neha. Music Race:1st:- Archana Prasad, 2nd:- Renu, 3rd:- Sanchi. Cardboard Race:1st:- Garima , 2nd:- Sneha, 3rd:- Sunanda .The event concluded with refreshments & snacks. WLC successfully conveyed the message to all its members that “Life is a sport. Make it count.”
One of our member Jyoti Gupta conducted a Special Game of Knee Race for Committee Members who were present namely Archana Prasad, Himani Johari, Dimple Chaurasia, Meenakshi Gupta & Kriti Gaur. The winner of this special game Meenakshi Gupta was given 1st prize by Jyoti. Momento was also given by Jyoti to all committe members as a token of participation.
Champions keep playing until they get it right. WLC wished all its members a Very Happy New Year 2023, full of cheerfulness, health & happiness.
