During the elections for the AOA 07, the residents of Prateek Wisteria voted with full enthusiasm on 21 May and elected ten members for the office bearers. After the frantic canvassing, the contesting candidates interacted with the voters during the Open House organised by the Election Committee on 20 May where they presented their agenda for the next year to make Prateek Wisteria a better habitat.
Voting for the election was held from 09.00 AM to 03.00 PM and during this period 705 members voted. The counting of votes started at 03.30 PM and continued till late night. On completion of counting EC finally declared the following ten elected contestants.
Nitesh Ranian 531, Navneet Johri 531, Anand Singh. 507, Naresh Kumar Gupta 404, Vinit Kishore 396, Nikhil Kumar 393, Peaush Vishnoi 390, Sanjay Gupta 389, Uttam Sinha. 379, and Amanpreet Singh 362. The current board is a mix of old and new members with seven old and three new members.
Samvada Adds: The newly elected team in PW has been quite popular with the residents, especially the elderly. No wonder they are back – with a bang! The team had been appreciated and praised for their work in the past term. Now they plan to take up many developmental activities in the society. First on their list is the expansion joint repair, basement repair and painting work. Also keeping the security of society in mind they plan to upgrade the CCTV cameras and increase coverage. They also plan to set up a central CCTV control room. Terrace floor repair and waterproofing is another important work that the new team wishes to take up. Better upkeep of the firefighting system is also on the cards. To enhance the water quality, the team plans to install water softeners in the society. The lights of the towers will be replaced with LED lights to improve lighting and reduce electricity consumption. The important issue of IFMS and registry will also be taken up. The team also plans to take steps to manage the stray dog issue. Golf carts will be procured for ferrying the residents. The new team also intends to enhance the greenery.
There is an interesting incident to add here. One of our team members from Samavada had the opportunity to attend an event organized by the senior citizens in Prateek Wisteria. What she witnessed was heartening! The AOA team was also invited. Not only the whole team attended the programme with patience, but they also showed immense respect and concern for the senior citizens. When asked to perform something extempore, the team sang an old Bollywood song. It may look like an ordinary instance. But if you are an observer, you will notice some nice things about it. The camaraderie and sporting spirit amongst the team were so evident.
The way they came to attend the event of senior citizens reflected their respect for the elderly. And the way the whole team came together to sing showed solidarity, which is so rare these days in a management team.
