Dussehra celebrates the victory of good over evil. The Wishtown Dussehra Committee and the KP2, Sector 131 RWA celebrated it with zeal. ~3,000 residents participated in the celebration which started with a Shobha Yatra. Residents danced throughout the route.
In the evening, Ashok Khera, Maheshwari ji, PK Sinha, BS Bhatti and I lit a ceremonial lamp.
Performances followed – Ganesh Vandana by the ladies; a children’s fancy dress competition; bhajan; classical dances; a short Ram Leela and Aatishbazi.
The Ravana, Kumbhkaran, Meghnath and Lanka effigies were burnt with crackers. Residents appreciated and were thrilled to have a huge Dussehra festival celebration.
They also enjoyed mouthwatering dishes with their friends and family at the stalls.
