January 2nd to 10th, 2025 saw Winter Camp turn the Essel Tower Community Center into a bustling centre of education, creativity, and enjoyment! The program introduced the children to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics to pique their interest.
Every day, children engaged in brain-activation exercises to stimulate their young minds before engaging in hands-on activities that blended enjoyment and learning. Every activity left kids wanting more, from making puffer fish that puffed up and hot air balloons that flew to delving into the complexities of working models of heart and lungs. Kids took part in yoga, dance sessions, and activities like Color Coordinating and navigating a maze with Katy the Koala to keep the energy flowing.
They were able to “get the wiggles out” and develop coordination and teamwork during these activities. Important concepts such as Newton’s Third Law of Motion were taught with working examples to enhance and solidify their learning foundations. The activities were designed by Child Development experts.
The Camp demonstrated that education doesn’t have to be dull with its abundance of creativity, learning, and laughter. It was an uplifting experience that filled these young minds with excitement and left them with priceless memories. Such camps act as a breath of fresh air for our children. The program was extremely engaging and we look forward to more exciting programs!
