The recently held Haryana State Legislature elections on 5th October 2024 for the Badshahpur Constituency MLA seat featured a mix of veteran politicians and fresh candidates. DLF Phase 2, which falls under this constituency, historically, is known for its low voter turnout, despite having a large population of residents.
Its exceptionally large voting turnout in the May 2024 general elections got the candidates visiting the colony. Former State Cabinet Minister Rao Narbir Singh, backed by the BJP, and the young Congress leader Vardhan Yadav, met with residents and active social volunteers on the weekend of 22nd September. Both party sessions were held at the DLF school grounds in P Block.
With the candidates promising to address residents’ concerns about necessities ‘bijli-pani’ (electricity and water) issues, it was up to us as residents to turn out in large numbers and select our preferred candidate. By doing so, we ensure that our chosen representative works for the betterment of our colony.
So who’s your pick for this term. List of all candidates below.
