A resident has once again shared a picture of Gate 1, which is near Jaipuria Plaza and closed. This gate has for years been a garbage collection point for road sweepers who dump their wheelbarrow loads here. Then others throw their garbage onto the pile, which keeps growing over the days, stinking away. It gets cleaned maybe once a week. Forget visitors; even residents going to Jaipuria Plaza for purchases express disapproval.Recently people threw their junk and old unwanted items into this pile at Gate 1. Broken chairs, clothes, and plastic items—anything and everything gets added to this pile. These discarded items looked like part of a Diwali cleaning exercise, and Diwali is long over. The problem is that the garbage van guys are refusing to collect this, and neither are the sweepers. Both say it is not their job. This matter has been raised by Samvada multiple times, but there seems to be no permanent solution to this problem. RWCS is requested to look into this, as these garbage heaps give a negative image of the sector.
