When we are sleeping comfortably, someone is spending sleepless nights caring for our safety. Irrespective of scorching heat, incessant rain or cold days and nights, these selfless souls do everything to ensure a smoother life for us.
A group of ladies from Wellington formed Kalyani to share the joy and spread happiness, irrespective of socio-economic strata. This group has been extending empathy, gratitude and compassion through all-year activity. From donating warm clothes to serving tea and providing warm food to tasty bites, the activity is exhaustive.
To make summer easy for the support staff, on 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th May, the group distributed lassi, chaach, and frooti. On 31st May, to celebrate Nirjla Ekadshi, muskmelon, matthi and lassi were distributed to 100 support staff, including painters, shopkeepers, guards, and maintenance staff.
Extending their gesture, even the car cleaners and dog walkers were also taken under the ambit. For four years, through their various activities, Kalyani has brought smiles to people around.
