Basant Panchmi is a day when we pray to Goddess Sarasvati, who is the Goddess of wisdom, art and knowledge. This is the time when winter’s intensity starts decreasing, though, this time, there was no sign of it. On this day, ladies dress up in yellow attire and prepare sweet yellow rice. The fields are overflowing with yellow mustard flowers, swaying to the celebration.
This year, Basant Panchmi and Republic day were on the same day, so ladies celebrated Basant Panchmi on 25th January. They arranged a get-together. The dress code was yellow, and they enjoyed snacks with hot soup.
Sarasvati pooja was arranged in the evening at 1C- 24. .It was followed by Kirtan. Here also ladies came in Yellow dress. The whole mandir and hall were decorated with yellow flowers beautifully.
