Thieves Knew Exactly Where To Enter From and How To Block Cameras
On March 22, 2024, a couple living in the H3 lane of DLF-1 left for the railway station to catch their train for Jaipur at around 5:30 p.m. Their parents, who also live in DLF-1, dropped by their house the next day to pick up a few things and check on the house. On their arrival, they realized that the house had been ransacked!
Late at night on March 22, thieves entered the property from the backside, where there was an empty plot. They carefully took out a window AC glass to enter the house, and the first thing they did was cover the CCTV cameras, which they knew exactly about. The thieves took some foreign currency, jewelry, and cash from the house and did not bother taking the laptop and tablets.
When the parents arrived the next day, they were alarmed to see the situation at the house. The police were called immediately. Rahul Chandola of H Block was also called, and he later helped the family file a case at the police station. The following day, a dog squad and a forensic team visited the house to get some evidence about the thieves.
The robbery was clearly well planned. The thieves knew exactly when the family was leaving the house and where to enter it from. So much so, they even knew where the CCTV cameras were installed and were smart enough to cover them. The incident clearly reveals an inside job. “There is a need for us to identify all the laborers working within the block, which can be a task since they are constantly changing. We also need to create ID cards for our household, which is long overdue. We are working towards these changes.” Says Rahul Chandola (Ex prez HBRC)
