Welcoming Bansuri Swaraj -Our New MP

On the recently concluded Lok Sabha Elections 2024, we saw pitched battles being fought across the country. Our colony comes under the New Delhi constituency.  The month of May saw road shows, poll canvassing reach its peak. Ultimately the citizens have exercised their might and brought in a leader of their choice. The New Delhi constituency has a new Member of Parliament in Ms Bansuri Swaraj.

She came to address the constituents of her seat on 17th May 2024 at Arya Samaj Mandir in Green Park Main. The entire hall was full to its capacity. So many people from various RWA  like Green Park Main (Mr Lalit Kumar), Green Park Extension (Mr Anand Gupta), Mr Vijay israni from Green Park Market Association, Pankaj Agarwal from Efforts Group, Safdarjung Enclave, Mr Goel from B5 Safdarjung Enclave, people from Singh Sabha Gurdwara, Green Guardians, Presidents of B7 Safdarjung Enclave and Arjun Nagar were also present besides a whole lot more who had come to listen to their candidate from Bharatiya Janata party.

Singh Sabha Gurdwara people welcomed Bansuri Swaraj by making her wear a turban which suited her and made her look cute. Rohit Agarwal and Sumitra Dahiya welcomed her with a big heavy garland. People from different professions and organizations welcomed her. Though there were a huge number of people to welcome Bansuri ji, she was very patient and cordial in attending to each one of them with a smile.

After the welcome, Basuri ji gave a very nice speech. She spoke about her educational qualifications. She said she was a graduate from the University of Warwick and of Oxford. She is a Barrister in law from Inner Temple. She has also completed her masters from Saint Catherine College Oxford. Bansuri ji is the daughter of former Union Minister Sushma Swaraj and former governor of Mizoram Swaraj Kaushal.

Bansuri ji is an advocate, BJP spokesperson and also its legal head.  In her speech she made promises that she will work for the constituency as her mother Sushma Swaraj did. Just like her mother fought from the New Delhi seat, she too is contesting from the same seat and the same way that her mother had worked for the people, she promised that she shall work for the constituents of her New Delhi seat. She has promised to allocate 25 percent of her MP fund for the development of her area as per RWA need and requirement. We look forward to this promise and the welcome change.

We take this opportunity to congratulate Ms Basuri Swaraj for becoming the Member of Parliament Lok Sabha and welcome her whole heartedly in our midst.
