When we, the yog sadhaks, gathered for the International Yoga Day celebration, we performed various techniques. We warmed up by Sukshma Kriyaein followed by a multitude of Yog asanas such as Tar asana, Kamarchakrasana, Kon asana, Triko-nasana, Bhujangasana, Pavanmuktasana and Surya namaskar. The Pranayama, namely, Shitli, Chandra-bhedi and Kapalbhati, followed. We concluded with a heartfelt Prarthana and a fun-filled session of ‘laughter yoga’. Yoga benefits health and boosts the motivation towards a healthy lifestyle. The yog sadhaks have been practising for the last two years under my guidance. I welcome all residents to join us at the sports field every morning in our fight against physical, mental and spiritual ailments enlisting the power of yog and pranayama.
