Apex Athena has been afflicted with a major problem of water seepage in the basement for a long time. During the rainy season, the conditions get worse, leak age from all around the roof of the basement; walls getting wet, water pools, and the list goes on. The leakage was causing concrete cracking and beam damage to buildings of Athena that needed to be repaired immediately. There is often a lot of dispute and complaint about it between the members of the society and the builders. The leakage in the basement was only due to poor construction or manufacturing defects of the buildings, because of which the residents suffered for a long time. Since this was a construction defect, the builder was liable to conduct the repairs. After many complaints by the residents and the involvement of the newly formed Executive Committee, the matter was resolved amicably with the builder. The repair work on the water proofing has started, which is a big relief for all residents. We hope this rainy season is not as wet as always.
