We Call Ourselves the Vasant Vihar Divas: Vibhuti Arora

Twelve years ago, after moving from Dubai to Delhi, Vibhuti Arora faced a life-changing moment. She was diagnosed with lupus, an autoimmune skin condition, and found out that most skincare products were filled with sulfates and parabens. She saw an opportunity to create something meaningful. Thus, House of Beauty was born—a clean beauty, anti-ageing skincare brand designed for sensitive skin.

Starting a clean beauty brand in a market dominated by chemical-laden products came with its own set of challenges. One of the biggest hurdles was convincing people that face yoga and natural skincare could offer visible, transformative results. Skepticism was widespread, but over time, client testimonials and scientific research began validating the efficacy of these holistic methods.

Arora emphasizes that their formulations are designed to show results within three months, a promise that has gradually turned skeptics into believers. Despite various government initiatives supporting women-led businesses, Arora believes that societal biases persist, often making it twice as hard for women to succeed in the entrepreneurial landscape.

Her standout offering is face yoga, a natural, non-invasive technique for facial lifting, muscle toning, and skin tightening. It provides a powerful alternative to expensive creams and invasive treatments. According to her, even ghee can be used to perform these facial exercises effectively.

“My one-minute face massage can deliver noticeable results within a month,” she says. Many who initially doubted the benefits of face yoga became firm believers after seeing their own transformations. No wonder, the brand is set to expand its wellness centers to major Indian cities, including Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata, and Jaipur.

Vibhuti Arora, who shifted to Vasant Vihar four years ago, believes it is a beautiful, quiet colony, and the neighbours are extremely helpful here. “We have our WhatsApp groups where, you know, we call ourselves the Vasant Vihar Divas, where at the drop of a hat, we help each other out. So, that’s what you want. You want a quiet, safe, holistic experience, a holistic colony where you, your kids, and your family can live in,” she puts in.

Vasant Vihar has all the restaurants and grocery stores at a walkable distance, she says. “So whether I want to take my car out or I want to walk, it is all easy, and it’s a beautiful experience living here.”
