Every morning, we come across a usual message ”No water supply today even“ especially from residents of B-Block, besides usual cleaning up drives. Many residents in D-Block too face the
same problem of scare supply of water. The houses on the main road in D Block face water crisis due to low pressure in pipeline in the back lanes.The pump in D-90 is at the mercy of DJB. It is a sorry state of affairs that despite repeated requests to the Delhi Jal Board and laying of new pipelines in the past, our colony is suffering due to water crisis. We feel, in spite of being residents of “B” category colony, who are all high tax paying and law abiding citizens, we are deprived of basic necessities of water and electricity on daily basis. Even electricity outage is experienced very frequently, due to poor maintenance job carried out by BSES.
Our colony’s reputation as compared to other colonies is deteriorating due to dirty politics making residents deprived of basic necessities of life. Residents call for water tankers every day to meet the daily demand of water supply and that too sometimes have to be pleaded. We are unsure of the quality of water too and have to bear the additional expense of water tankers.
Colonies of D and F category are regularly fed with water and electricity. The reason for the same is best known to government. To add to our woes a message from AAP minister and DJB chairman, Mr. Saurabh Bhardwaj, who was supposed to inaugurate new pipe line laying for B-Block on Sunday sent a message,” Due to prevailing circumstances, I am unable to attend any meeting on Saturday and Sunday”.
Builder flats are increasing, therefore consumption of water is increasing but no future planning for supply of water and electricity is being taken care of. Time now has come for PERA and the residents of the colony to unite and ask for our rights that we are sincere tax payers and should not bear the brunt of dirty politics.
