The Exclusive Floors Owners Society focused on Grid Power and Water Management to take preventive measures and face future challenges effortlessly. As far as Grid Power is concerned, a sub-committee was formed to study the Electric Infrastructure of the society. Yogendra Saxena, Mr Verma, Ajay Jain, Pankaj Arora and Sanjay Dubey volunteered from the residents. The scope of the sub-committee was to review the electric infrastructure in terms of load enhancement (on Grid), future load planning, study of the present infrastructure and recommendations for future planning. They took the data of Load on each transformer and MDI (maximum demand Indicator) as well. They subsequently prepared a technical report that indicated the existing electric infrastructure including MDI, KW, KVA, PF, CT meters for each meter on three transformers. On the subcommittee’s recommendation, all three transformers (1000KVA) were serviced one by one. Apart from the identification of non-functional parts and future threats, a judicious plan was conceived to integrate three transformers to minimize minimum risks and maximize the efficiency of transformers by taking short-term measures like load balancing, medium-type measures like transferring load from one transformer to another, etc.
The possible safety and long-term measures were discussed to supplement power by installing an additional transformer. From the BOARD, Usha Singh (President), Anil Goswami (Secretary) and Ms. Jaspreet Chopra (Treasurer) participated actively in making the project a great success. Mr. Krishna (Office staff) and Mr. Chandan (Chief Electrician) were of great help during the whole process.
The Drinking Water Management is a matter of great concern. Due to the drinking water scarcity threat received from GMDA, infrastructure like the conveyance of pipelines, pumps, electric motors and submersible pumps of tube wells were completely monitored and subsequently maintained. One bore-hole motor was replaced as the water table went down to 215 feet below the surface level. The installation of a 15 HP submersible motor was done immediately.
Residents were also motivated to use more treated water for construction, car washing, and gardening except for drinking and bathing usage.
All underground storage tanks were cleaned to supply non-polluted water keeping in view the health and hygiene of the residents. The EFOS Board has been working sincerely to resolve the various issues of the society.
