A waste segregation training session was recently held at Windsor Court to promote sustainability and ensure efficient waste management. Waste is segregated into Wet waste and Dry waste, with dry waste further divided into plastic, paper, cardboard, metal, glass, and miscellaneous waste.
On Tuesdays, dry waste is collected from each apartment and sent to vetted partners selected by our resident committee. Wet waste is processed on-site and converted into fertilizer, which is used in the community gardens and distributed to residents periodically.
The recent training session focused on educating domestic helpers and housekeeping staff, as regular training is essential to ensure smooth implementation of the waste segregation process. During the session, participants learned the correct methods for sorting waste, the importance of proper segregation, and how each individual’s contribution supports the community’s sustainability goals.
Through ongoing training and collective effort, Windsor Court is committed to achieving 100% waste segregation.
