The enthusiasm among members to attend and enjoy events at the Club has taken even the management by surprise. Every programme or event at the Club is patronised by more than 800 members.
Sufi Night at the Club on Sunday, 5 March was no less. The staff was seen frantically running around organising chairs and seating for members, especially senior citizens. Executive committee members were busy holding the reserved seats which they arranged for some VIP guests.
Waqar Khan is a great singer-composer from Jammu & Kashmir Valley. He is famous for his beautiful voice, and has successfully established himself as among the best artists of Jammu & Kashmir. At 15A he did a great job of involving the audience, and his knack of getting them to participate and come to the dance floor worked very well.
The Club had arranged a tempting platter of Kashmiri food along with the usual fare on the menu. This was planned to match the theme of the evening. The members and their guests enjoyed every bit of the evening – dancing and making-merry. The sky rocketing bar and food sales are enough testimony of the success of the evening.
After the show, replete members went back home asking for more!
