Do we have an adventure roller coaster ride in sector 75? Well, here we are talking about the sad adventure that the residents of 75 have to experience and that too without voluntarily opting for it. It is a matter of grave concern that most of the sector roads are in very bad shape and pitiable condition. These roads are full of big craters, high bulges & deep potholes and have uneven surface tracks which are very dangerous and not suitable for safe driving.
The journey of horrors starts with the dangerously high slope as soon as you enter the sector from the main road. It may give you a feeling that you are about to climb a mountain but the slope slides back as soon as it rises. Then there are numerous potholes, often filled with stagnant rainwater. You may enjoy a splash if you are walking because there is no way a driver can avoid these – for the sheer reason that these are numerous.
The small roundabout has a blind turn, having a 90-degree turn but no clear view. Whoever designed it must have been a fan of stunts! But the general public is neither Ajay Devgan nor Jackie Chan! Not to crush the high expectations of the architect of this thrilling roundabout, but the normal residents here are pretty boring and would want a safer drive.
If the roads are in such condition, how can the divider be far behind? The dividers are equally interesting to look at. Sector 75 does not sport the boring divider that the rest of Noida has with lush green plants, water fountains or neatly painted margins. Sector 75 can boast of uneven broken boundaries with all sorts of garbage littering it. Sometimes you may even spot cattle lazing on the divider. Where else can you spot such interesting sights in Noida?
Although some of the sector roads may have been reconditioned recently, that is not enough. All the other internal roads as well as service roads of the sector including major defects/aberrations as brought out above need the immediate attention of the concerned authorities. AOAs of all the housing societies must come together and become alive to the situation and suitably take up the matter with Noida Authority on priority. Reconditioning/repairs of the sector roads should be done without any further loss of time before the situation deteriorates further in the interest of the safety of the residents.
