Dr Savita Nagpal ( B-86 South City 1)
Gurpurab was celebrated by a Prabhat pheri on 6th November 2022, at B46 South City 1.
Mr Baljeet Singh and his wife, Minia, invited the Sangat to Langar after the Kirtan and Ardaas at their house.
Sikhism teaches us that Pavan (Air) is the Guru, Paani (Water) is our Pita (Father) and Dharti (Earth) is our Maata (Mother).
In keeping with the Divine teachings of Guru Nanak Dev, which mandate respect for our Environment, they ensured that there was minimal use of disposables as the food was served in steel plates and the cutlery and glasses were also of steel, while few glasses were of glass itself.
When we do not respect Air, Water and Soil, and instead defile them, we are committing an unparalleled offence which ironically threatens our very own existence.
Sadly most of us unaware of the peril we pose to ourselves.
