Festival times are indeed happy times. Members of Vividha decided on a short, one-night outing to a picturesque resort nestled amidst lush mango or chards. The fresh air and verdant surroundings were mesmerising, providing a welcome respite from the air pollution we endure daily, especially post-Diwali.
Thirty-three of us, aged 29 to 85, travelled together in a bus, enjoying joyful times during both the journey and stay. Although brief, our stay was filled with excitement and adventure. Everyone participated in pool activities, tambola sessions, and group games. The fashion show, where everyone strutted their stuff in black, was the icing on the cake.
On our return journey, we shared stories, jokes, and experiences. Tech-savvy friends even found time to create reels to peppy songs. Amongst us were choreographers, dancers, game organisers, ramp walk directors, and caretakers – a talented bunch!
We eagerly anticipate more joyous occasions and close interactions. At our monthly Vividha meeting, members shared their wonderful trip experiences. With festivities over and energy levels replenished, we indulged in tambola. We celebrated birthday wishes for our ladies and marked the 555th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak (15th November) with Sonal’s soulful rendition of a shabad. Janak ji’s lovingly prepared Kadha Prasad was distributed.
The meeting concluded with hot bread pakora, gulab jamun, and tea. We look forward to our Sports Day outing in December.
